Ethos
Wild Echidna Enterprises seeks to aide, encourage and facilitate transformation in our local community and the world in which we live.
Every human being is fundamentally 'good'.
Every human being has an inherent desire to be valued for who they are.
Every human being has an inherent spirituality which needs to be acknowledged and nurtured.
Every human being has a contribution to make to the society in which we live.
Transforming pain - rather than 'transmitting it' lies at the heart of our human quest for meaning. Borrowed from Fr Richard Rohr, founder of the Centre for Action and Contemplation, Wild Echidna Enterprises acknowledges that to 'transform our pain' takes courage. It takes 'guts.' It takes companionship - people who are willing to 'walk that extra mile' with us - to make us think and develop strategies to deal with life in more effective ways.
Rev James is passionate about concrete and considered 'action' - not that we may be perfect, but that we ultimately choose to make the world a better place, where the dignity of every human being is valued and respected.
He is passionate about making our community a stronger place.
In his role as an Anglican Priest, and in developing roles within allied education which includes his chaplaincy position in a local primary school - Rev James seeks innovative and ambitious programs to embrace all of the above.
While his Christian heritage is important to him, he is passionate about Inter-religious dialogue and genuine respect for people of all faiths and no faith.
